Miesięcznik wydawany przez niemieckie towarzystwo Comenius-Gesellschaft, ukazywał się w latach 1892-1934. Na przestrzeni lat mutacje tytułu: „Monatshefte der Comenius-Gesellschaft für Volkserziehung“, (1909-1919) w latach dwudziestych i trzydziestych XX w. „Geisteskultur. Monatsshefte der Comenius-Gesellschaft”. W niektórych rocznikach brak podziału na zeszyty (miesiące). Redaktorzy: Ludwig Keller (założyciel), następnie Ferdinand Jacob Schmidt, Artur Buchenau. Czasopismo wychodziło początkowo w wydawnictwie Voigtländer’s Verlag, następnie (1909-1919) wydawane było przez Eugena Diederichsa, później przez Walthera de Gruÿter, a w ostatnich latach przez Alfreda Ungera. Czasopismo reprezentowało poglądy towarzystwa, odwołującego się do idei pedagoga, myśliciela i uczonego uniwersalnego Jana Amosa Komeńskiego (Comeniusa) i zgodnie z tą linią usiłowało propagować naukę wolną od politycznych akcentów, w sposób tolerancyjny i niedogmatyczny. Biblioteka Elbląska posiada w swoich zbiorach roczniki: 1892-1907, 1910-1922, 1924-1930, 1932-1934.
