Biblioteka Elbląska w swojej kolekcji muzykaliów posiada m. in. utwór na altówkę „Hebrajskie Melodie”Joseph’a Joachima (1831-1907), węgierskiego skrzypka (żydowskiego pochodzenia), dyrygenta i kompozytora. Był profesorem w Berlinie i wykształcił wielu skrzypków. Oprócz wielu kompozycji które stworzył, jest autorem podręcznika „Szkoła gry skrzypcowej”. Zeszyt z nutami pochodzi z kolekcji Henryka Nitschmanna, znawcy literatury polskiej, kompozytora i krytyka muzycznego. (Druk współoprawny z Muz. IV 1880-1887)
