Biblioteka Elbląska w swojej kolekcji muzykaliów posiada m. in. pieśń na skrzypce i fortepian „Wiosenny kwiat” Carla Reinecke (1824-1910), niemieckiego kompozytora, dyrygenta i pianisty. Carl już jako dziecko siedmioletnie zaczął komponować, a w wieku 12 lat odbył się pierwszy publiczny występ. Całe życie poświęcił muzyce, pracował jako nauczyciel 35 lat aż do emerytury do 1902 r. Reinecke poświęcił się także kompozycji (opublikował trzysta prac). Zeszyt z nutami pochodzi z kolekcji Henryka Nitschmanna, uznanego znawcy literatury polskiej, kompozytora i krytyka muzycznego. Nuty współoprawne z innymi utworami muzycznymi (Muz. IV 1840-1845).
