Mendelssohn-Bartholdy Felix (1809 - 1847)- niemiecki kompozytor , pianista , organista i dyrygent wczesnego romantyzmu. Podobnie jak wielu innych znanych kompozytorów, Mendelssohn muzyczną karierę rozpoczął jako „cudowne” dziecko. Pomimo krótkiego życia Mendelssohn osiągnął wiele sukcesów i osiągnięć twórczych. Do głównych form w jego twórczości należą symfonie, jak również koncerty. „Serenade …” to zeszyt z nutami na fortepian skomponowany w 1838 r., druk współoprawny z innymi drukami muzycznymi (Muz. IV 10191-10193)
