Niemieckie czasopismo naukowe z dziedziny biblistyki i historii chrześcijaństwa, którego tematyka koncentrowała się na Nowym Testamencie i początkach religii chrześcijańskiej (tzw. pierwotnym chrześcijaństwie, jak w historiografii określa się dzieje chrześcijaństwa do soboru nicejskiego I w 325). Czasopismo zaczęło ukazywać się w 1900 r. Wydawanie czasopisma zapoczątkował teolog, filolog i historyk Kościoła Erwin Preuschen (1867-1920). „Zeitschrift für die neutestamentliche…” wychodziło jako kwartalnik. Większość zamieszczanych w periodyku przyczynków była w języku niemieckim, ukazywały się w nim jednak również artykuły autorstwa naukowców francuskich i angielskich. W czasopiśmie znak własnościowy - exlibris w formie pieczątki elbląskiego archiwisty i bibliotekarza Leonharda Neubaura (1847-1917). W zbiorach Biblioteki Elbląskiej znajdują się numery z lat 1900-1907.
