Materiał został opracowany na podstawie wydanej w 1773 roku publikacji „ A Synopsis of all the Data for the Construction of Triangles, from chich Geometrical Solutions hale hitherto been in Print. With References to the Authors, where those Solutions ar to be fund” , której autorem był John Lawson (1723–1779) - wykładowca i korepetytor matematyki w Sidney Sussex College w Cambridge, od 1759 roku rektor Swanscombe w hrabstwie Kent.
